The Association for International Relations in Yamagata (AIRY) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in April 1991 as a core organization for new international relations in Yamagata Prefecture, looking towards the 21st century. At this Association, we facilitate cooperation among volunteers, private international exchange organizations, municipalities, and the Prefecture; and act as a liaison between the private sector and the government, as well as among private international exchange organizations. We hope to promote further international exchange and cooperation among prefectural citizens on a one-to-one basis.
